ABM Industries Custodial Manager in Bradley, Illinois

Overview

The Night Custodial Manager is responsible for the oversight of day-to-day operations and administrative activities of Facilities and Janitorial staff. Develops and implements cost control measures and level of service standards to ensure compliance with customer specifications / contract requirements for assigned buildings. Oversees inspections, quality control measures, inventory control of equipment and supplies, and ensures staff is providing and maintaining acceptable maintenance and janitorial practices for the assigned buildings.

Pay: $80K-85K

The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

You may be eligible to participate in a Company incentive or bonus program.

Shift: Night starting at 7pm

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and implement cleaning and maintenance projects, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget.

  • Manage and supervise cleaning and maintenance staff, ensuring that they follow established procedures and comply with safety and regulatory requirements.

  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets, tracking progress and making adjustments as needed.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that cleaning and maintenance projects do not disrupt production or other operations.

  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address cleaning and maintenance issues and ensure that corrective actions are taken promptly.

  • Maintain accurate records of project activities, including inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.

  • Collaborate with the Quality Control department to ensure that all cleaning and maintenance activities meet quality standards.

  • Participate in internal and external audits, providing documentation and support as needed.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a GMP environment.

  • An associate degree in a relevant field.

  • Experience in cost controls and budget management.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and supervise a team.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.

  • Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs.
