The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Health & Disease provides patient care in both the hospital and ambulatory settings and takes great pride in offering services for common, complex, and rare medical conditions. The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Health & Disease is seeking to fill a nurse practitioner role to work in an electrophysiology (EP) ambulatory setting. Essential Functions Practice clinical/Patient Care according to professional practice standards and institutional policy/procedure. Intake assessment/triage/admission, including pertinent history, physical, psychosocial, and cultural dimensions, is performed and documented according to policy. Ongoing assessment, when appropriate, is performed and documented according to policy. Assessment demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development, and identification of the patient's needs as they relate to a development level and cultural dimensions. Interpretation of the patient's condition and abnormal findings is communicated in a timely manner to the physician and all appropriate members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team. May assist EP Cardiologist in diagnostic procedures. Participates in hospital and provider performance improvement activities. Required Education Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program. Required Trainings/Certifications Active Ohio APRN license with prescriptive authority. Active Board Certification in appropriate nursing specialty. BLS Certification. Required Experience Three (3) years nursing experience. Additional related work experience may be required depending on specialty/sub-specialty.
