Elevance Health Direct Sales Agent Lead in Columbus, Ohio

The Direct Sales Agent Lead is responsible for coaching and leading direct sales agents and interns to accomplish inside sales objectives during peak sales periods. This includes leading and mentoring full time sales associates as well as college interns used during peak season. Off peak season will include Telesales agent responsibility in addition to assisting with leading more junior agents.

Primary duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Coaches and monitors telesales representatives to meet performance standards.

  • Provides feedback to telesales representatives and managers.

  • Implements daily inbound and outbound schedules and maintains adequate telephone coverage in order to meet abandonment rates.

  • Assist in the Management of work flow processes.

  • Maximizes personal sales production goals and team call metrics.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a BA/BS and a minimum of 2 years of telephone sales experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Must maintain appropriate sales license required by the Department of Insurance to sell Medical, Dental and Life products. A sales license is not required if only selling ZipDrug (CarelonRx BU) products.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Ability to motivate and inspire team members preferred

  • Demonstrated experience in meeting or exceeding sales targets preferred

  • Proven work experience in a similar sales role preferred

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is 25.30 to $37.95/hr
