Description

A well-established distribution company in the Des Moines area is looking to add an accounts receivable clerk to join their team. The role will be primarily focused on managing and maintaining our customer credit records, processing credit applications, and handling any related inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the correct and efficient processing of customer credit applications

• Maintain and update customer credit records as needed

• Handle and resolve customer inquiries related to credit applications

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take necessary actions to collect overdue payments

• Develop and maintain relationships with customers to facilitate smoother transactions

• Work independently and collaboratively with team members to achieve common goals

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to create and manage spreadsheets relevant to the role

• Participate in weekly meetings with sales and CFO to discuss progress, metrics, and potential improvements

• Utilize specific computer systems to efficiently carry out job duties

• Assist in entering service invoices once comfortable with primary job duties

Requirements

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Knowledge in Billing

• Experience with Cash Collections and Commercial Collections

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
