This position will work primarily with our residential youth but will also be a valuable member of the overall leadership team with normal work days of Monday through Friday.

WHAT IS THIS POSITION RESPONSIBLE FOR?

  • Provide clinical services to assigned residents.
  • Conduct all required physical health screenings for residents during the required timeframe.
  • Make referrals as necessary.
  • Serve as professional nursing link between patient and physicians, pharmacist, case managers, therapists, youth care workers and other care providers.
  • Provide education to residents and staff regarding physical needs, medications, wellness and safety.
  • Dispense and administer medication when needed.
  • Assess patient compliance and response to medication. Maintain secure storage and appropriate documentation of medication.
  • Provide and assist in ongoing trainings as needed
  • Monitor medication errors.
  • Provide needed therapeutic emergency interventions and protection for individuals who are in crisis.
  • Maintain TB administration certification.
  • Administer TB tests to staff annually as well as residents.
  • Provide nutritional training to all staff and residents as needed.
  • Schedule and attend necessary medical appointments for residents.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings.
  • Participate in Health and Safety meetings.
  • Responsible for supervision of RN/LPN/Chief Medical Officer
