Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Surgical Services or designee is responsible for performing all procedures related to the complete processing and distribution of all medical/surgical instrumentation, equipment and supplies.

[]{#Toc468573278}[]{#Toc7526370}JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Adhering to department policy and demonstrating constructive interpersonal relationships in all areas of communication.
• Ensuring that proper techniques and practices are used according to accepted standards of practice.
• Properly decontaminating, assembling, wrapping and sterilizing all surgical instrumentation, equipment and supplies.
• Assuring appropriate completion of quality control records. Maintaining clear, concise and accurate records as required by regulatory agencies.
• Assuring preventive maintenance has been performed in all areas of central processing and informing Manager if any piece of equipment has been overlooked.
• Maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the department.
• Participating in and assuming accountability for information presented in department meetings and in-service programs.
• Distributing and retrieving in a timely fashion all surgical instrumentation and supplies dispensed to the departments.
• Practice safe handling of equipment and supplies to reduce or eliminate mishandling and incorrect usage.
• Accepting responsibility for all other related duties as assigned.

• High school graduate.
• At least 6 months experience required.
• Graduate of Technician training program preferred.
• Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

In good physical condition to meet the demand of an active position including extensive walking  and standing, moderate sitting, stooping, and lifting

Pay Rate: $35/hr
