Summary

• Under the direction of the Director operates EKG equipment and produces diagnostic electrocardiograms documenting electrophysiological variations of the heart muscle.

• Examinations performed include diagnostic EKG's, stress procedures, event monitors, Holter monitors, and ambulatory BP monitors.

• Responsible for assuring a high level of quality in all procedures and providing the interpreting physician with all of the necessary information in order to make an accurate diagnosis.

  Education

• Must be a high school graduate or equivalent with GED, preferably a science background.

• Must have satisfactorily completed the department training for EKG tech.

  License/Certification

• Must have current CPR certification.

  Experience

• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.

  Other Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. , 150 lbs. shared lifting.

• Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of general computer skills and applications.

• Demonstrate ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills.

• Must be able to work weekends, and holidays.
