Masonry Foreman

Masonry Foreman need to be familiar with common masonry techniques and capable of using various hand and power tools. Foreman should be OSHA 30 and Silica trained and certified with a good understanding of safety procedures. Foreman need to be self-motivated, knowing the task at hand and accomplishing it. Ability to read blue prints and layout jobs is essential. A foreman should have good management skills, working well with others and able to mentor and develop the skills of their team.

Foreman Responsibilities:

  • Read blue prints and layout the job
  • Communicate with superintendent, estimators and operations manager at all stages of the job to ensure safety and quality while staying on schedule and on budget.
  • Delegate and execute a plan daily
  • Keep track of all tools, materials, supplies, and equipment. This includes ordering, storing, cleaning and maintenance.
  • Communication with your team as well as other employees of Arisco using the Blink app.
  • Complete daily safety check sheets and necessary documents
  • Mix and prepare cement, bricks, and mortar for structures
  • Cut and shape materials to meet the job's specifications
  • Assist in the creation of stairs, chimneys, walls, frames, walkways, and other structures
  • Interpret technical drawings and follow their instructions
  • Do your part to maintain our tools and workspaces
  • Lift and carry bricks, concrete blocks, and stones from place to place
  • Assist with other tasks as needed of you to get the job done, including those typically done by a mason, operator or mason tender
  • Attend project meetings, trainings or other necessary gatherings
