Responsibilities

When assigned as PIC for a trip, a Captain assumes command responsibility for the aircraft and crew and is operationally responsible to the Chief Pilot.

· Work within Meijer Aviation to maintain a culture of safety with efficient procedures that support customer service.

· Ensure the airworthiness of the aircraft. Compute aircraft weight and balance and aircraft performance.

· Flight plan using current weather conditions, forecasts, trends, NOTAMS, TFR’S for points of departure, destination and alternates along the route of flight.

· Ensure that all pilot qualifications and documentation is current and meets regulations for federal and state operations.

· Participate in Meijer Aviation’s Safety Management System.

· Address passenger needs such as security requirements, ground transportation, catering, and baggage.

Qualifications

· Four-year college degree or equivalent work experience required.

· Second-Class Medical Certificate

· Airline Transport Pilot license

· Valid Passport or ability to obtain valid passport.

· 4000 hours with 1000 turbine multi-engine time.
