Lilly Senior Director - Advanced People Analytics in Indianapolis, Indiana

Our HR Technology and Operations (HRTO) organization leads all aspects of the global HR technology and analytics strategy and portfolio and provides HR shared services and operational support across the enterprise. Analytics is key capability in HRTO, with a growing centralized People reporting and analytics team.

The Sr. Director of People Analytics is a critical member of the People Analytics team, supporting enterprise-wide analytics needs and initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Partner and collaborate with HRLT and business leaders to devise strategic and inventive solutions to business challenges.

  • Develop and communicate statistical analyses and results, along with implications and data-driven insights to the HR leadership team and executive committee members to inform and drive the enterprise forward.

  • Evolve and implement Lilly’s employee listening strategy.

  • Develop and administer an automated workforce planning strategy (business plan).

  • Collaborate with HR Tech, Tech@Lilly (IT) and other partners to provide solutions, build and maintain people analytics data infrastructure including data management and modeling of both integrated and disparate data sources.

  • Build project plans, ensure adherence to project schedules, and partner with leadership and team members to set priorities and outline long-term analytics recommendations.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging practices in People Analytics, HR technology, and apply them to Lilly.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, or related field

  • 6+ years of relevant professional experience in a global matrixed organization

  • 3+ years of experience in project management and leading teams using reporting/query, data management, and statistical tools (i.e. R, Python, SAS, SQL)

Additional Preferred Skills:

  • Holds an advanced degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, or related field.

  • Experienced in survey and assessment design, data warehouse architecture, data engineering, ETL processes, advanced analytics (including machine learning), quantitative modeling, and statistics.

  • Proficient in data visualization tools (i.e. PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik)

  • Has domain knowledge of Human Resources and experience in people management

  • Able to effectively collaborate with HR and cross-functional partners to surface insights, identify and frame problems/opportunities, develop solutions, and drive actions aligned with business priorities.

  • Excellent communicator with the ability to interface across levels, business areas, and cultures; can deliver data-driven insights and compelling narratives to influence senior leaders and other audiences.

  • Ability to coach on and assess technical skills and performance

  • Solid knowledge of workforce data management and the broader technology ecosystem

  • Self-directed, comfortable working in ambiguous environments, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking and prioritizing are necessary.

  • Experience developing organizational change and upskilling strategies and tactics

Additional Information:

The preferred location for this position in Indianapolis. Travel 10-15%
