ABM Electrical Power Solutions is seeking currently seeking an ideal candidate for our Operations Manager position based out of Ontario, CA branch. Pay: $100,000 - $145,000 The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Under the supervision of Sr. Manager Operations, will be responsible for driving and supporting the operational performance of the field operations for the location assigned within the ABM Electrical Power Services organization, must understand and lead the field technicians towards appropriate CA certifications, training, safety, vehicle operations and service quality. This position is responsible to set a culture that ensures performance-oriented results aligned with annual operating plans. Essential to success of the position is the leadership and support of key strategic objectives of both the business unit and ABM. Position will require a high sensitivity to industry and market trends that will drive the need for business change and innovation.

Essential Duties

  • Support development of annual operating plans

  • Support use of technicians’ mobile field technology

  • Support customer satisfaction initiatives and process

  • Support efficient purchasing by field personnel

  • Recruiting, supervising and developing high talent individuals for successful client/project development and future leadership positions

  • Ensure monthly, quarterly and annual operating results are complete and accurate

  • Ensure that project execution is performed to expectations or better for high quality, integrity and safety.

  • Foster an environment that promotes timely communication and teamwork between Sales and Service

  • Support deployment and continuous improvement of Training & Safety initiatives

  • Manages staff in accordance with ABM employee relations philosophy and policies; hires, terminates, recommends salary changes, conducts performance appraisals, counsels and disciplines as necessary; communicates and administers ABM personnel policies.

  • Ensures consistent application of all ABM standard policies, procedures, processes and tools Monitors results for compliance, initiates corrective plans

  • Works at developing an in-depth understanding of the client's business and identifies opportunities to improve current services and expand our offerings. Reviews contract renewals and scopes changes and new business proposal.

  • Efficient and effective work scheduling

  • Provide technical support and expertise to staff as well as external customers.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

PREFERED REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree; experience, training/schooling and other licenses/ certificates will be considered in lieu of degree.

  • Ten (10+) years, electrical service/contracting experience and management experience

  • Must have strong computer literacy.

  • Microsoft Office 365 (including SharePoint, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, and Word) intermediate experience required

  • Electrical C-10 license strongly preferred, other electrical certifications desired

  • Documented success managing a multi-million-dollar operation strongly desired

  • P&L leadership

  • Experience/skills at being the customer advocate

  • Strong electrical technical trade experience and estimating ability

  • Project Management

  • Exceptional Planning/organizational skills

  • Ability to multitask

  • Strong time management skills

  • Handle conflict well

  • Support customer data maps, site information

  • Use GPS system in conjunction of Field Services Automation to optimize field workforce efficiency

  • Problem solving skills

  • Ability to understand standard contractual agreements

  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
