    Position Summary:

    THIS POSITION WOULD ALSO PROVIDE COVERAGE AT THE URBANA CAMPUS ON FRIDAYS AND MONDAYS AS NEEDED WITH ADVANCE NOTICE BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 6:00A-9:00P

Provide security services to protect the employees, visitors, patients, and facility at regional Carle outpatient locations. Maintain a safe environment and ensure building access control measures are maintained. Officer may be called to assist with security services at other sites including the main campus.

Qualifications:

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS None Required CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS Driver's License upon hire and Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) Card within 6 months. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Security experience preferred. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Taser Certification, OC Pepper Foam Certification, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification

    SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Effectively communicate with employees and customers. Writing skills. Able to complete security incident reports.

    Essential Functions:

  • Monitor perimeter and interior doors/areas and watch for unauthorized access.

  • Patrol building and grounds for safety and security issues/hazards and investigate.

  • Monitor cameras.

  • Assist staff with potential security issues and intervene when necesary.

  • Provide employees with security awareness education.

  • Provide customer service support for patients, visitors and staff.

  • Assist staff and visitors with Emergency Management events.
