JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: Upham Woods Outdoor Learning Center is a residential facility operated by the University of Wisconsin-Extension and located in pristine forests along the beautiful Wisconsin River, two miles north of Wisconsin Dells. Upham Woods provides hands-on, field-based education and recreation opportunities to youth, youth leaders, and adults through programs focused on environmental and leadership education. The Center, officially accredited through the American Camp Association (ACA), consists of 14 buildings including a new welcome center, full-service kitchen and dining hall, nature center, and lodging for visitors and seasonal staff. The Upham Woods Outdoor Learning Center seeks a reliable and detail-oriented Buildings and Grounds Maintenance Technician responsible for: - Utilizing equipment to repair and maintain buildings, equipment, and facility property to prevent further damage and ensure optimal operation. - Assisting in the development of and executing the preventative maintenance program for each building. - Inspecting contracted work during and after repairs have been completed, ensuring proper and timely completion. - Proactively engages in identifying and resolving safety issues befitting a residential outdoor education center. A successful background check will be required prior to employment. It is expected that employees will make individual arrangements for transportation adequate to meet position responsibilities and essential job functions.
